In tribute to Jean Tinguely, we built a machine made of moving belts and shifting mechanisms, where humans and technology advance side by side. First presented in Fribourg to serve 1,500 people, and later at the Swiss Embassy in Paris, it unfolded like a choreography of gestures, flows, and unpredictability. Ephemeral and unstable, it questions the role of mechanics in our collective rituals, the beauty of imperfection, and—through food—the impossibility for a machine to ever fully separate itself from the human touch.
